2019 Summer Workshop Intensives 

Just like our regular Workshop program, every performer will have a speaking part and a solo! Performers will meet daily for full days packed with theater activities. Each day will include rehearsals to prepare for the final performance, as well as special lessons in unique theater skills such as stage combat, improvisation, audition technique, and more.

Each session is TWO WEEKS long!

PROGRAM POLICIES

REFUND POLICY There are no refunds or credits.

PARTICIPATION POLICY Please do not register if you have any conflicts. Absences and/or "shadowing" (making up a missed rehearsal) are not permitted during two-week intensives. If your child misses a rehearsal (due to illness or otherwise), continuation in the program will be at the discretion of the Producer. Performers who are late to a full run-through or dress rehearsal, for whatever reason, even for illness, are not permitted to perform in the show. Be sure to read our Standard Agreement before you register.

PARTICIPATION IN MULTIPLE SUMMER PROGRAMS
If you are interested in participating in our summer Workshops and auditioning for the summer Mainstage, it is absolutely possible to do both! However, we find that participation in both programs results in some very long rehearsal days which may be too much for some children. Please consider your child's stamina if signing up for both programs, as we don't offer refunds. SHOW DESCRIPTION

The Addams Family Young @ Part features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.

  • July 25 Dress Rehearsals (Paramount Theater)
       Group A @ 9:00am-12:00pm
       Group B @ 1:30pm-4:30pm
  • July 26 Final Rehearsal / Performances (Paramount Theater)
       Group A final dress @ 9:00am and performance @ 11:15am
       Group B final dress @ 1:30pm and performance @ 3:45pm

SPECIAL NOTE
Two groups (A and B) will be formed after casting on the first day. If you want your child to be cast with a particular friend/sibling, you may note this during registration and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please make sure you are available for both the A and B schedule.

$950 Earlybird Registration (if registering by March 15) - Subsidized tuition
$1,050 Regular Registration - Subsidized tuition
$1,583.33 - Actual cost

Did you know Random Farms is a non-profit and tuition only covers 60% of the cost of putting a child through the program?
 
Our subsidized tuition prices make participating affordable to a more diverse community. We ask families to choose the tuition tier they can afford on good faith; no application for the subsidized tuition is required.
 
Please consider paying the actual cost, and everything over the subsidized tuition amount will be a tax-deductible donation!  This will help support our outreach efforts, which include providing scholarships, discounted tickets, and free performances to those in need.
 
*Each registrant is also responsible for a $10 processing fee at the time of registration.
 
SCHOLARSHIPS
A limited number of financial aid packages are available. Please visit www.randomfarms.com/scholarship for info and application.
 
COSTUMES
While Random Farms will provide the majority of each performer's costume, participants are responsible for providing his/her own shoes/tights and undergarments as per the costume memo (to be provided once rehearsals start).
   
    
 
 

 

 

    

SESSION 3:  LION KING KIDS

 


SHOW DESCRIPTION

This fantastic musical tells the story of Simba, a young lion who is to succeed his father, Mufasa, as King of the Pride Lands; however, after Simba's uncle Scar (Mufasa's jealous younger brother), murders Mufasa, Simba is manipulated into thinking he was responsible and flees into exile. Simba grows and matures, living in the wilderness and meeting some hilarious new friends. He is also given some valuable perspective from his childhood friend, Nala, and his shaman, Rafiki, before returning to challenge Scar to end his tyranny and take his place in the Circle of Life as the rightful King.
