The Mainstage productions are the biggest shows presented by Random Farms! These large-scale, high-budget, commercial-quality productions are presented twice a year - once in the winter and once in the summer, with performances at the historic Tarrytown Music Hall.

Auditions are required to participate in the Mainstage and are open to performers in grades 2 - 12. No prior experience is needed to audition. The Mainstage cast is made up of principal and ensemble roles. Actors cast in a principal role will have speaking lines and/or solos. Actors in the ensemble sing and dance as part of a group but do not always have individual lines or solos. There are typically four casts for Mainstage shows, with approximately 35 performers in each cast.


The commitment for the Mainstage is approximately one month.
For the Winter Mainstage: Auditions are held in September. Rehearsals are held three times per week in the evening and on weekends throughout January and sometimes into February. Performances are typically in late January or early February. Each cast will have two performances.
For the Summer Mainstage: Auditions are held in February. Rehearsals are held three times per week in the evenings and on weekends throughout July and sometimes into August. Performances are typically in late July or early August. Each cast will have two performances.

This is a tuition-based program, but only if cast (there is no fee to audition). A limited number of need-based scholarships are available here.
