SUMMER MAINSTAGE AUDITIONS
Mary Poppins JR.
For performers entering grades 2-12
Program runs late June - early August
The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."

Performers will be asked to sing a short cut from the song, "Let's Go Fly a Kite" as their audition song and will be taught a short dance combination at auditions. Below, there is a link to a vocal track and karaoke track to rehearse with. The karaoke version will be what is used for auditions. Callback Materials
The callback materials above are organized in folders labeled by Character Name. Simply click the folder with the character's name on it, and you will find all the callback materials for that character within that folder. Some characters will have a short piece of a song, a short scene, and/or short monologue. Please be sure to look over all of those materials if you are called back for that role. (The sheet music is also provided if you find that useful to help you prepare.)
*If you are not attending the initial audition on Tuesday or Thursday and are attending the makeup audition on Saturday instead, please be prepared with the callback material in case you are asked to stay for callbacks on Saturday.
